Stitchery

2013- 2016

These stitchery pieces (2013-2016) were made on fabric accumulated over many years. Some are on fabric cut from a tattered, quilted summer spread belonging to someone in my family. It should have been thrown away many years ago, but, attracted to its sturdy quality, I washed it and shoved it in the back of a studio cabinet, only to rediscover it years later. Some of these pieces include gesso and paint. Sizes vary from a 6” hoop to 9” x 9”.
